It's the easiest DIY job you'll ever do.
Unless you've been living under a rock for a lengthy period of time, you'll know that countless nineties trends have come back in full force for the fashionistas this year.
We've spotted a ridiculous amount of nineties-style chokers on the catwalks at Alexander Wang and Louis Vuitton and on all the super stylish celebs like Gigi Hadid, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
And there's no need to fork out because one canny fan of the trend has made her own using a shoelace - and the internet it loving it.
One savvy shopper decided not to spend her hard earned money on a choker from a store, because these necklaces are apparently the easiest DIY job you'll ever do.
Instead, Katie Rosebrook just provided us the biggest fashion hack by simply using one of her shoelaces from her Nike trainers to tie round her neck.
We mean, seriously, how good is that gonna… ok it actually looks pretty good.
She's become a bit of an internet hero since tweeting the picture along with the caption: "This choker trend is wild y'all i wore a shoelace to the bars last night & i've never gotten so many compliments thanks @nike just do it lol".
She even told Buzzfeed: “I was pretty sure everyone would just wonder why I was wearing a shoelace, but only one person noticed the entire night. I see so many people spend a good amount of money on necklaces like this, and I thought it was funny that mine was free and got so many compliments."
And she's inspired a lot of girls to get creative in their choker creations:
From sunglasses straps to drawstrings from bags to the ribbons that hold your clothes on the hanger, these girls are evidence that you can work this trend... for free.
