Are You Ready To Give Up Tampons For Period-Proof Underwear?
Could period-proof pants save us from whining (a little)?
Periods. You spend your early teens desperate to get one then the rest of the time whinging about how annoying they are. And expensive! Buying a box of regular tampons ain’t cheap. Could period-proof pants save us from whining (a little)?
Period-proof underwear is being hailed as the new way to deal with your monthly flow. No need for tampons, sanitary towels or even moon cups (if that’s your bag), these knickers will apparently absorb your period without any danger of leaking.
The brand promising to modernise our menstruation is Thinx, purveyors of the actually-quite-stylish- pants. There are six different styles, each capable of holding a different amount of period flow.
Here’s how Thinx works…
* The knickers are made up of four bits of tech, making then anti-microbial, moisture-wicking, absorbent, and leak-resistant.
* The top layer fights bacteria and absorbs any liquid into the thin layer right beneath it, so you always stay dry.
* They need to be rinsed immediately after use, cold wash only then hang dry.
Would YOU ditch your faithful but pricey Tampax for period pants?
