ASOS Are Now Asking For Your Height And Weight And Here’s Why
We’re all well aware of the struggles of online shopping, you know, like having to buy multiple sizes just to guarantee at least one will fit perfectly. And even then it’s a risk.
But now ASOS are recognising the problem, and are trying to help us all not have to wait a whole fortnight for returns to clear so we can keep the money we’d usually splurge on items we purchase one too many of. *raises prosecco glass in cheers*
The retailer has announced that they’ve launch ASOS Fit Assistant, which is less about forcing you to go on a morning run (not judging if you do), but will offer you personalised size recommendations for your clothing choices.
Theaim isto allow all of us to order the right size the first time. Just imagine the sheer happiness of knowing that pair of £80 jeans will fit straight away. No returns. No having to shrink them in the wash. Just perfection from the off (hopefully, anyway).
All you have to do when you head to the ASOS Fit Assistant on the retailer’s website is input your height and weight, and it should be able to allocate your sizing on different items.
So buyingsize 16 leggingsthat turnout to fit more like a size 12shouldn’t be a problem anymore.
It does raise the problem of why there’s such sizing discrepancies on the high street though, but at least this will help us overcome the issue. In some form.
