One of the best things about the Met Gala ball is that itgives celebs a chance to go all out with the crazy outfits while still being able to pass it off as high fashion. There, we said it.

And with the theme of the 2017 ball being centred around Comme des GarçonsdesignerRei Kawakubo, who is best known for her experimental designs that play with colour and perspective, things naturally got pretty out there.

Not only has the girl shaved off her hair but she's got herself a silver bald cap type scenario to match her shiny silver suit. She looks like a space alien queen and we're ob-sessed.

Never one to be outdone, Katy wins all the prizes for this conceptual red dress that we like to imagine some sort of scorned demon bride might wear to haunt the dude dumbe enough to havejilted her.

She's wearing a fishnet jumpsuit, which in theory should be a crime against fashion yet irl looks fierce af -particularly as an outfit choice for a red carpet that your ex-boyfriend and new girlfriend (hiii Selena and The Weeknd) are walking together for the first time.
