15 Disney Makeup Tutorials That Will Genuinely Blow Your Mind

Time to get your Disney villain on

Bin bag capes, plastic fangs that make you dribble and a whole load of fake blood are just the beginning when it comes to transforming yourself for Halloween. Luckily there’s some way more exciting, much more magical options available for Disney fans these days.

So whether it’s living out your ultimate princess dreams as Belle, or channeling your inner villain a la Ursula, we’ve hunted down the 15 best Disney makeup tutorials on the whole of the internet.

1. Princess Anna (by Kat Sketch)

The earthy eyeshadows, faux freckles and redhead braids might already make Anna a pretty cute beauty icon for the autumn season, but the unexpected Frozen twist on this tutorial makes for an extra cool look.

2. Ariel (by TraciJHines)

Waterproof makeup could come in handy for this one (Under The Sea, obv), although you’ll have to find the singing lobsters for yourself. This vid cleverly uses a standard red lip liner to perfectly match brows to the signature Ariel hair.

3. Snow White (by Emma Pickles)

If you’re all about the pale and interesting, English rose vibes, Snow White is pretty much goals for anyone without a tan. Foundation as white as snow, a liquid lip as red as blood, and brows as black as ebony - sorted.

4. Rapunzel (by Glam&Gore)

Not exactly your average Disney princess tutorial, this one by the epic Glam&Gore shows us all what might have happened to Rapunzel if Flynn Rider hadn’t been around to (sort of) save the day. We recommend she tries a Tangle Teezer, FYI.

5. Princess Jasmine (by Charisma Star)

Basically the Disney version of a Kardashian, Jasmine’s glamorous beauty look is all about the glowing, bronzed skin, with blinding highlight, winged eyes and a whole load of golden glittery touches. No pet tiger though, unforch.

6. Belle (by Kayley Melissa)

Everyone knows that the single most important part of becoming a Disney princess is perfecting the dream hair. Master the art of Belle’s towering up-do, mega volume and tumbling curls before you even THINK about finding that poofy yellow gown.

7. Queen Elsa (by Kandee Johnson)

To recreate Elsa’s winter makeup, you need a rainbow of pink to purple eyeshadow added to your everyday eyeliner, along with some false lashes, a slice of icy highlight and approximately a shitload of frosty glitter, duh. V excited to hear your rendition of ‘Let It Go’, too.

8. Princess Aurora (by Tahnee Harrison)

Our usual version of Sleeping Beauty is dark circles that could eclipse the moon and some slightly alarming bedhead hair. Save yourself from looking like you just rolled out of bed by stealing Aurora’s rosy complexion and natural eye look.

9. Bambi (by TheMakeupChair)

While the film might be verging on traumatic, Bambi’s perfectly lined eyes, contoured features and polkadot coat actually add up to a cute af makeup, look that’s super simple to recreate and looks even better when paired with space buns for ears.

10. Maleficent (by Promise Phan dope2111)

Step aside Kimmy K because Disney fans know that the original contour queen crown belongs to Maleficent. Her chiselled cheeks, bold lips and fancy horned head piece are pretty much iconic.

11. Ursula (by Promise Phan dope2111)

So errr, Ursula might not be the most conventional beauty icon in Disneyland, but she definitely makes for an epic costume if you’re feeling particularly badass. Find the right shade of octopus purple, slick on the red lipstick, and don’t forget the villainous brows.

12. Yzma (by Promise Phan dope2111)

Potentially one of the most underrated Disney movies, featuring one of the most fabulous Disney characters of all time (who, the more we think about it, looks alarmingly like Kris Jenner). THOSE LASHES THOUGH.

13. Cheshire Cat (by Courtney Little Makeup)

Not exactly an every day look, but the intense, vibrant mix of pinks, purples, silver glitter and crazy cat eyes make the Cheshire Cat a dream Halloween option for any hardcore makeup fan. Plus, you’ll put all the crap ‘sexy cats’ to shame.

14. Mad Hatter (by Shonagh Scott)

The Mad Hatter’s makeup might look impossible to recreate for the average makeup brush owner, but this tutorial actually spells it out into simple steps that you can follow. Opt for white eyelashes, pink contouring and a whole lot of blending to perfect it.

15. Dory (by Chrisspy)

Well, we couldn’t leave this one out, could we? This tutorial went viral thanks to its sheer dedication to face paint, and it’s SO WEIRD but actually kind of incredible - although maybe not the fittest option if you’re looking for a new bae this Halloween.
