People Are Making Their Own DIY Versions Of The Adidas Yeezy Sock Boots Kendall And Kylie Jenner Are Loving
Get the Kylie Jenner look for £5 instead of £600.
Sock boots might sound a tad ludicrous, but they are set to be a big trend this winter thanks in part to Kanye West featuring them in his Yeezy line with Adidas.
Since launching the look with Yeezy Footwear Season 1 and continuing the look into Season 2 this summer, a pile of celebs including Kim Kardashian, and Kylie and Kendall Jenner have been spotted wearing them.
But at around $800 a go, they aren't exactly the most affordable item for those of us who don't want to have to eat nothing but baked beans for the rest of the month.
Luckily the internet is here to help and fashion blogger Collette Emily has a sneaky hack to DIY the look for next to nothing.
All you'll need are a pair of heels that fit well and mirror the shape of the Yeezy version, a pair of socks - beige, black or khaki green are going to work a treat - plus some super glue and some sand paper.
To create the look Collette simply pulls the sock over the shoe and cuts a hole for the stietto heel.
Once pulled up to ankle length, she cuts out a piece of sandpaper and glues it to the sole of the sock with the gritty side facing the floor, just to help you stay stable and not fall arse over tit like Bella Hadid did at NYFW the other day.
How sneaky is that? Will you be giving it a go?
