One of the more exciting features on the iPhone X is the fact that fingerprints are about to become obsolete with the invention of some seriously futuristicfacial recognition technology.

But the fly in the ointment is that a bunch of make-up lovers are now majorly concerned that the feature won't be able to recognise their bare face from the eyebrow-tinted, contoured masterpiece they see in the mirror 90% of the day.

This has proved to be such a concern that people have to taken to Twitter to share that there's literally no point investing £1000 in a product that might notunlock unless they look like they wandered off a River Islandphotoshoot caked in Benefit make-up.

"Will face recognition recognize me without makeup or will i have to at least put lashes on every time I wanna open my phone," one user wrote. Another queried: "Will iPhone Xbe able to detect the same face with and without makeup on their new face ID is the real question."

But never fear, because the wizards at Apple HQ have insisted that the facial recognition technology will even work if you change your hair, sit in the dark, or wear glasses. The technology will even adapt as you change over time, which means it can ~definitely~ cope with a bit of mascara and liner.
