Snapchat Filter Makeup Is Officially A NYFW Runway Trend
Your puppy face filter is now a designer makeup trend.
There’s nothing like a good Snapchat filter to change up your look, but it turns out that the power of those beautifying lenses haven’t been lost on designer brand Desigual, who decided to incorporate them into their show at NYFW on Thursday.
While they couldn’t broadcast the entire thing via Snapchat and use the filters for reals, they did get the makeup pros from MAC to recreate the looks for some of the models hitting the runway.
Usually all eyes would be on the clothes and while the new collection was obvs looking great, this time all eyes were on the makeup, which was more than a little familiar thanks to its nod to Snapchat.
Here's a casual bit of deer filter:
Would it weird to draw little white dots on our face to look like an irl Bambi? Because genuinely considering it right now.
And with even more of your fave filters including the puppy face and bumblebee being painted on to look like the real deal, the MUAs had to get a little more creative to recreate the looks of the flower crown and the glorious golden butterfly filter that makes your face look like you've smushed a layer of butter all over it.
Using paper cut outs, they created intricate headpieces instead and we have to say that we’re more than a little obsessed with the tiny little butterflies pinned into this model’s hair.
HOW FETCH IS THAT?
They looked pretty jazzy on the runway too – check out the finished puppy filter:
And the flower crown:
The only question left is, if we buy some of the Desigual collection when it lands, do we get free Snapchat makeup to go with?
Because frankly we need it more than life rn.
