This Zara Coat Has Gone Viral Because Literally EVERYONE Is Wearing It
You know that coat. That one you’ve seen girls on the train to uni wearing. That one mums on the school run can’t get enough of, yet it’s still prettily patterned enough for you to deem it Instagram-worthy for that cheeky city break to Berlin you just booked. Well, THAT COAT, is now such a viral sensation that it has its own Instagram account.
The coat in question, in case you don’t already own it, is a £79.99 Zara coat. In a blue and white tile print, it’s transeasonal and works for a multitude of occasions – hence why EVERYONE bought it.
As for the Instagram account, @thatcoat was started by sisters Alice Frances and Emily Bray, who wrote on Alice’s blog:
“It all started at Chelsea Flower Show ‘She’s wearing my coat’. ‘Which coat?’ ‘That coat’ and suddenly, everywhere. A blue and white printed coat worn by women all over London. It’s as though they are in a secret club.
“So we got snapping – everyone got enthusiastic – apparently I’m not the only one who enjoys taking creepy photos of people in the street.
“We have got overexcited and made an instagram page just for the coat,so if you see the coat, please do send a photo to@thatcoatand we’ll put it up.”
So now you now. That coat is, sadly, now sold out at Zara, but here are some of our favourite places it’s been spotted:
At the Queen’s birthday celebrations
By the seaside
At a tennis game
At a wedding
Queuing at the airport
With wine
On the royal nanny (seriously!)
Ah, that coat.
