Did A Model Try To Sabotage Bella Hadid During Paris Fashion Week?
Bullying on the catwalk is so not cool.
Fashion might traditionally have a reputation for being bitchy and exclusive, but the rise of the supermodel squad had sort of made us think that those days were over and that all the girls and guys walking the runway were more interested in being part of a big and super stylish family.
Sadly that might not always be the case though and there's been some rather dramatic rumours going round after a video surfaced that some are claiming could show Australian model Ondria Hardin trying to 'sabotage' fellow model Bella Hadid on the catwalk during the Givenchy show at Paris Fashion Week.
Occuring during the final walk, the video captured by Style.com Arabia Editor Caterina Minthe shows Bella walking with Ondria behind her. As Bella walks past, Ondria looks down to the ground and as she does so, she is pushed lightly on the back by Mariacarla Boscono, who then quietly says "no", before Ondria turns, rolls here eyes and says, "I know."
Naturally Twitter is rife with speculation about this and while it should be noted that none of the models have spoken out to confirm or deny any of it, some people have suggested that Ondria might have been going to push or trip Bella before Mariacarla interrupted and told her to stop.
Have a watch below and see what you reckon:
To be honest, it seems pretty hard to judge this one as there could have been a whole number of things going on and might not have even involved Bella at all. Sabotage seems like quite a strong accusation too and perhaps it was a simple case of miscommunication - this is real life and not Zoolander after all.
Still, there's no denying that something was afoot as it seems very unlikely that seasoned professional Mariacarla would break ranks during the final walk of such a major show unless there was a reason to do so.
Fingers crossed this is just a big misunderstanding though because it would be a total shame for any clouds to come over Bella's walk for Givenchy, which itself was a total coup as she did it as a season exclusive, meaning that she walked for them and no other brand during the whole of PFW.
But what do you think about all this? Drop us a tweet to @MTVStyleIntl already.
