Dwayne Johnson Teases 'Fast & Furious 8' Could Happen Without Paul Walker
However, the actor says the cast and crew are currently riding the success of the seventh flick before "talks" can happen...
Dwayne Johnson has teased that Fast & Furious 8 COULD happen - despite Paul Walker’s tragic passing.
The actor - AKA The Rock - revealed that discussions regarding the eighth flick are in the back of their minds, especially off the back of the success of the current movie.
Speaking to E! News about how well F&F7 has done globally, Johnson said: “We got lucky… In movies, you don't make ‘em to make a billion dollars...It was my approach that we're just gonna make a good movie and we got lucky."
When asked about a possible follow up, Dwayne hinted: “Possibly, you know look, everyone's talking about it now.
“I think we create a little space, let [Fast 7] continue to roll out, people will hopefully enjoy it; seems like they are, and then we can talk about [8]."
Meanwhile, co-star Vin Diesel recently claimed that the next F&F movie would be “from Paul” - with rumours suggesting that the late actor’s brother Cody is interested in playing the role Walker left behind, after helping out on the set of No.7 in wake of Paul's death.
His manager has since stated: “Cody might be keen on working in Fast and Furious 8 if the producers were interested in signing him on."
