Hear Chris Martin Singing Farewell To Fearne Cotton
When it comes to leaving presents, most of us have to make do with a big card and a gift voucher if we're lucky.
But Fearne Cotton got a much better deal when she put in her final shift at Radio 1 yesterday - hearing pop superstar Chris Martin perform a song he'd written especially for the occasion.
Wittily entitled Gone But Not F Cotton, the ditty included the lyrics: "Have to tell her thanks for the records she played / Thanks for introducing us to Lana Del Rey.
"Thanks for all the mornings in the lounge, we'd arrive / And sweetly you'd tell us, 'No swearing, we're live'."
Kodaline and James Bay were also guests for her big blow out.
And she had a few words to say about her exit: "I started here in my early 20s with my dear friend Reggie Yates and that feels like a lifetime ago. I find myself here on my last day, at 33, as a mum.
"I will walk out here with so many amazing memories."
The last track she played was Lana Del Rey's Video Games.
