Ferne McCann To Give First TV Interview Since Announcing Pregnancy And Arthur Collins' Arrest Over Acid Attack
It's been a tough few weeks for Ferne.
After a turbulent few weeks out of the limelight, Ferne McCann is ready to give her first TV interview and explain what's been going on.
Announced at the end of today’s This Morning, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby told viewers that she’ll be joining them on Thursday's show (May 11).
‘Speaking for the first time since her ex-boyfriend’s arrest, pregnant Ferne McCann tells us how she’s preparing for life as a single mum,’ they said.
This comes after earlier last month Ferne’s then-boyfriend Arthur Collins was arrested by police in connection with an acid attack that left two people blind in one eye and many others with burns.
Following this already difficult time, it then emerged that Ferne is pregnant with her first child with Arthur, though she’s since confirmed that they are no longer together.
A statement from her rep at the time read: ’Ferne is grateful for the sympathetic way news of her pregnancy has been covered and people’s support and obviously her first concern is for her child’s health.
‘Accordingly she does not wish to discuss the pregnancy further given the early stage it is at and the immense strain that Ferne is currently under.’
She continued to add that her sole focus now is her unborn child, and being the best single parent she can be.
