Here’s A Handy Round Up Of Today’s Festival Announcements
Dust off your wellies. Talcum powder at the ready. Load up your hatchbacks with crates of Strongbow Dark Fruit. (Other fruity ciders are available.) Festival season 2017 is just around the corner, which you already knew, of course, because every festival is dropping information at the same bloody time. Difficult to keep up, isn’t it?
Well fret no more, because we’ve rounded up all the news from your favourite festivals into this one digestible article.
Wild life
Started by Disclosure and Rudimental back in 2015, WILD LIFEfestival is back for 2017. The first headliners to be announced are Fatboy Slim, who’s won 10 MTV VMAs and a load of other things, and Jess Glynne, who was excellent at MTV Crashes Plymouth 2016. Who’s excited? 'We’re excited.'
The newsdoesn’t end there. Also heading down to Brighton will be Eric Prydz, Wiley, George Ezra, Rag’n’Bone Man and more. A third headliner is yet to be announced. The news'does 'end there.
Taking place at Brighton City Airport, WILD LIFEfestival 2017 is on June 9 and 10. Check it out, if you fancy.
Citadel
Another relatively infant-like festival (Citadel was also founded in 2015), this London festival looks set to go from strength to strength. Foals, who spent their 2016 rampaging around the world on tour, including a co-headline slot at Reading & Leeds, have been announced as a UK festival exclusive headliner. Nice work, Citadel. Nice work indeed.
They’ll be playing on Sunday 16th July. Tickets are priced from £39.50 not including booking fees. General sale is open from Monday 30th January.
Field Day
Field Day is an excellent little festival. Joining the already announced Aphex Twin will be Run The Jewels – who are closing the Eat Your Own Ears main stage – Clams Casino, Thee Oh Sees, ABRA and many more. A suitably excellent line-up, don't you think?
Death Grips, Flying Lotus, Lady Leshurr and more will also be playing Victoria Park, London, on June 3 this year. Make sure you get down there.
SW4
deadmau5 and Marco Carola have been added to the SW4 line-up! They’ll join Dusky, The Martinez Brother, Nicky Romero and more. Also, 'deadmau5!'
SW4 takes place over the August bank holiday (26 & 27) weekend in Clapham Common, London.
