Kaiser Chiefs Rock Carling 24

Ian Brown, Razorlight, GLC and more party all night...

Kaiser Chiefs kicked off Londons Carling 24 mini-fest with a blinding gig in Brixton.
The Chiefs gave many a customary Whoooooooaaaaahhh as they took to the stage at the Carling Academy, Brixton on the first leg of the exhausting all night - and indeed next day - party.
Starting with Every Day I Love You Less And Less, Ricky Wilson entertained the crowd with songs and japes, including a Bruce Springsteen moment, when he pulled a lucky lady up onto the stage for an impromptu serenade. He also bravely strutted through the excited crowd to end up singing on a podium at the back of the packed Academy " and led a Mexican wave.
Other treats included Ian Brown, Goldie Lookin Chain, Dirty Pretty Things and The Ordinary Boys. There were surprises aplenty as Larrikin Love gigged in their pyjamas and Boy Kill Boy floated down the Thames on their very own boat of rock. And 24 hours later, Razorlight wrapped the whole thing up.
