Lost Weekend: Cancelled

Last minute AEGLive pull-out blamed

Lost Vagueness Lost Weekend festival has been cancelled just weeks before it was scheduled to go ahead.
The Glastonbury spin-off was due to take over Powderham Castle in Devon over the weekend of June 23-25, but organisers say it became unfeasible when their financial backers, AEGLive, pulled out on Wednesday.
Organiser Roy Gurvitz explains: We were devastated when AEGLive told us they were pulling out. It was completely unexpected that they should leave us in the lurch like this at the 11th hour. We felt especially sorry for the artists and the ticket holders who were looking forward to a fantastic substitute to Glastonbury.
He added: I can assure all ticket holders that they will be refunded via the agencies from which they bought.
But disappointed Lost Vagueness fans fear not: there are two events still planned for later in the year at the Coronet in London. On August 12 there will be The Glorious 12th Hunting Party and on October 28 the Halloween Horror Show.
