Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence has topped this year's FHM magazine's 100 Sexiest Women In The World poll for 2014 (check out FHM's Sexiest Women of 2015).

The Hunger Games star has won the accolade for the first time, racking up a record number of votes and trouncing last year’s winner, Mila Kunis, who slips to sixth.

Commenting on J-Law's win, FHM 100 Sexiest editor Dan Jude, said: “Congratulations to Jennifer on landing the number one spot. She’s run away with the title this year and it’s no great surprise.

"Not only is she the most in-demand actress on the planet, but men the world over have fallen in love with her kooky charm.”

Corrie babe Michelle Keegan scored second place in the poll, meaning she has pinched the Sexiest Woman In Britain title from 2013 champion Helen Flanagan, who has slipped to No.14.

Speaking of her win, the actress said: "I'm totally taken back by this, it really does mean a lot. Thank you so much to the readers of FHM and everyone who took the time and voted for me, I'm so flattered.

"I believe that being 'sexy' isn't wearing lots of heavy make-up or having the perfect hair or figure, it's about self-confidence, being comfortable with yourself, smiling and being happy!"

Elsewhere in the top ten, Rihanna drops one place to No.3, while Blurred Lines babe Emily Ratajkowski is this year's highest new entry in fourth position.

Beyoncé jumps twelve places to claim seventh spot, while former X Factor panelist Nicole Scherzinger is at 9 (returning judge Cheryl Cole is at No.13).

Pregnant Scarlett Johansson soars 39 spots to tenth, while The Ony Way Is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh is a re-entry at No.8.

2012 winner Tulisa Contostavlos is this year's biggest faller, dropping 71 places to No. 82.
