FIFA First Games Franchise To Pass £1bn In UK

Electronic Arts' FIFA series has become the first games franchise to pass £1bn in sales in the UK.
GFK Chart-Track has told CVG that last year's FIFA 13 was the highest-grossing instalment in the entire 40-game series so far.
And it was also revealed that the last two games in the franchise accounted for £200m in UK sales alone between them.
The next two highest-grossing franchises are Activision's Call Of Duty and Nintendo's Super Mario - with the former being close on FIFA's tail with £800m sales.
