Fifty Shades: 15 Book Moments That DIDN’T Make It Into The Movies

For all the characters that didn’t make the cut from page to screen, by far the most important is Ana’s own ‘inner goddess’. Presumably it was just too difficult to visualise Ana’s internal monologue swooning, roaring, cartwheeling and back-flipping.

One particularly eyebrow-raising scene in the first book – in which Christian pulls out Ana’s tampon in order to have sex with her – didn’t make it to film, possibly for fear of forcing the censorship board to create an entirely new classification!

Then there’s the moment when Christian ‘inserts’ Ben Wa balls inside Ana to pleasurable effect, which happens in the first book… and in our wincing imaginations only.

What you don’t find out in the film is that Christian then calms Leila down by bathing her… something that understandably upsets Ana, and is *perhaps* just a little unnecessary.

With creepy Jack causing trouble for both Ana and Christian throughout Fifty Shades Darker, what we don’t see on screen is him trying to use their email exchanges to blackmail Ana. For sex, obviously.
