Actress Spills Beans On Fifty Shades Of Grey Script
Chloe Bridges says she found sperm references too embarrassing...
An actress who was considered for the lead female role in Fifty Shades Of Grey has revealed that she found the script too raunchy.
Chloe Bridges, who currently appears as Donna LaDonna in The Carrie Diaries, told Cosmopolitan that she decided not to try out for the role of Anatasia Steele after she read the three pages of screenplay she had been sent.
"I read them and then was like, 'I really can't do this'," she explained. "If you read these three pages of sides, you would die. I still like to show them to my friends for fun."
"The scene was, like, the girl telling her friends about some sexcapade she had. But it goes into extreme detail and uses the word 'sperm' a couple times. I was like, 'I don't know guys, I have to go home to my grandparents' house in a few months at Christmas, I don't know if I can do this'."
But the sultry 21-year-old gave her support to Dakota Johnson - who will be playing the female lead.
"So mad props to the people who are going to do it," she continued. "You had to be able to take it seriously and not laugh or turn bright red."
Victoria Beckham has denied that she is designing costumes for the film.
