Joe Wright is reported to be the frontrunner to direct the movie version of Fifty Shades Of Grey.
The Atonement and Anna Karenina filmmaker has a strong relationship with Focus Features, which is producing the big-screen version of EL James' erotic bestseller.
The Hollywood Reporter claims to have heard from multiple sources that the 40-year-old Brit is in pole position to direct Fifty Shades.
But the website adds: "Sources caution that there is no deal in place, and Wright has not officially won the job. Universal and Wright's reps at CAA declined to comment."
