Fifty Shades Of Grey Cast Talk THAT Axed Tampon Scene!
Jamie Dornan has expressed his relief that the infamous moment in the book was left out of the script...
Following the news that the infamous moment in the book hadn't been included in the script for the flick, the Northern Irish hunk - who plays Christian Grey in the movie - explained: “It’s just such a different medium, like from film to literature. There’ll be stuff that makes sense in the book that won’t translate on screen.
“There'll be people who are disappointed that the scene’s not in there. Personally, I’m pretty happy that it didn’t make the cut and it was never in there in any version of the script… It was never happening.”
His co-star Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) agreed: “I think that it’s nice with something like this, where you can still have things in your head that happened in the book and you can leave them there and keep them secret.”
Director Sam Taylor-Johnson went on to add that there “was never really a discussion to include that scene,” explaining: “We really just looked at how we were going to do the sex scenes, each one of them to feel like they were unique to the previous ones, so you didn’t have audiences going, ‘here we go again’.”
While on the subject of THOSE sex scenes, Dakota went on to admit that sex jokes made the whole process easier, stating: “I was always in pretty peculiar situations because most of the time, I was like bound to something so I couldn’t really move…
“They’d call cut and I would just get a blanket thrown at my face. During those scenes, we would joke around and stuff but it was more like, technical and obviously a lot of sexual innuendoes, sex jokes, puns, sex puns.”
Fifty Shades of Grey is out now!
