Fans of the Fifty Shades Of Grey novels have started an online petition to get their choice of actors cast in the movie adaptation.
It was announced earlier this week that Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson would [uuid=7633e6d2-f49e-42ba-879f-f3e9b2c3f844]be playing Christian Grey[/uuid] and Anastasia Steele respectively.

But the news caused consternation in some quarters - and a petition was started on Charge.org calling for Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel to be given the roles instead.

At the time of writing more than 18,500 people had signed the petition, which appears to have been written in a pitch of excitement.
It reads: "Matt Bomer is the PERFECT DESCRIPTION OF CHRISTIAN GREY AND ALEXIS BLEDEL IS THE PERFECT ACTRESS TO REPRESENT ANASTASIA STEELE and if THEY ARE NOT, NOBODY WILL BE.
"And I read the whole trilogy and I can assure that Matt is the perfect actor for this movie and Alexis too. So please PLEASE, all of the GREYsessed and Bomerettes in the world NEED those actors. They always will be for us the Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. WE CAN DO ANYTHING GUYS, ANYTHING."
Movie producer Dana Brunetti has urged fans to "keep perspective".
