Fifty Shades Of Grey Set To Reach IMAX In US... We Said IMAX!
As director Sam Taylor-Johnson confirms that she's on board for sequel...
What could be better than finally seeing Fifty Shades of Grey brought to life on the big screen?
Seeing it brought to life on an EVEN BIGGER screen, obviously!
And that's exactly what moviegoers at 75 Stateside cinemas are going to get after it was confirmed that the eagerly-awaited film will be screened in IMAX across the US.
IMAX Entertainment's CEO Greg Foster commented: "This morning we decided to pick up 75 runs of Fifty Shades of Grey. We're doing it literally at the last moment. We'll be part of it and get some of the walk-up business."
There's no news as yet about UK IMAX screenings, but watch this space.
Meanwhile director Sam Taylor-Johnson has confirmed she'll be back behind the camera for the next movie.
She told E! News: "I'm signed on."
But when asked about her plans for the follow-up, she was tight-lipped and would only say: "Let's see how this one goes first."
It may not be an experience she's eager to repeat, since she's also been elaborating to The Hollywood Reporter about her on-set rows with author EL James.
"It's difficult," she confessed. "When you have an author and an auteur, it's a difficult and challenging relationship.
"I'm not saying that at times it wasn't helpful, but there were times when it was really, really frustrating."
Fifty Shades of Grey hits cinemas this Friday.
