Fifty Shades Of Grey Star Dakota Johnson Covers February Vogue
The 25-year-old strikes a pose for Mario Testino…
With the highly anticipated movie set for release on Valentine’s Day, Dakota appears as innocent as her character on the magazine’s cover, her wide eyes framed by a long fringe and loose hair.
Shot by Mario Testino and interviewed by Hamish Bowles during London Fashion Week in September, the 25-year-old shares what attracted her to the Fifty Shades role.
“I wanted to be involved because it’s so different,” says Dakota, “and it’s an intense love story.”
Despite her famous parents – mother Melanie Griffith, father Don Johnson and stepfather Antonio Banderas – fame isn’t something she seems into, and the thought of it frightens her.
“I think about my dwindling anonymity,” says Dakota, “and that’s really scary because a very large part of me would be perfectly happy living on a ranch in Colorado and having babies and chickens and horses – which I will do anyway.”
Meanwhile her co-star, Mr Christian Grey himself, Jamie Dornan, says, “Dakota is very funny – and humor on a film set goes a long way. But she also had the ability to be a very strong dramatic actress. She’d be telling a joke one minute and breaking your heart on-screen the next – so she was perfect.”
Dakota also appears in one of Vogue’s Original Shorts, titled Just A Minute, which sees her sexily lying on a sofa, sexily talking to a voice on the other side of a dressing room door, and sexily NOT eating the sandwich that we can’t stop staring at throughout.
