"A lot goes into casting that isn't just looks" says producer Dana Brunetti...

Fifty Shades of Grey author E L James has taken to Twitter to respond to "haters" following news that the film's two leads have finally been cast.
James herself revealed yesterday that after a year of intense speculation, [uuid=7633e6d2-f49e-42ba-879f-f3e9b2c3f844]Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson will take on the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele[/uuid] in the upcoming big screen adaptation of the hugely popular erotic novel.
The news has drawn a mixed reaction from fans via social media, which appears to have inspired the writer to speak out.
She tweeted: "To all the supporters, lovers and haters - thank you so much for the passion that you have for this project. You all rock. All of you."

The film's producer Dana Brunetti also discussed the controversial casting on Twitter.
Brunetti wrote: "There is a lot that goes into casting that isn't just looks. Talent, availability, their desire to do it, chemistry with other actor, etc."

He added: "So if your favorite wasn't cast, then it is most likely due to something on that list. Keep that in mind while hating and keep perspective."
Sam Taylor-Johnson will direct Fifty Shades of Grey, which is due for release on August 1, 2014.
