Fifty Shades of Grey author EL James has dismissed rumours that the cast list for the upcoming movie will be unveiled at Comic-Con.

Earlier this week there was speculation that [uuid=8aaf1ea4-0d15-441a-a9cb-aa917f906541]an announcement would be made at the San Diego convention[/uuid] later this month.

But the writer denied the rumours on Twitter, writing: "I dunno where this rumour started that the cast would be revealed at Comic Con...but it is just that - a rumour (sigh)."

The film adaptation of the racy novel has already been given an August 1 2014 release date for the US, and Sam Taylor-Johnson has [uuid=6ba52d24-e5c0-4bae-9356-009e76d8d784]signed up to direct.[/uuid]

However, with everyone from Mila Kunis to Lucy Hale, and Ian Somerholder to Robert Pattinson having been linked to the roles of Anastasia and Christian, the race for the lead is still looking wide open.
