Ryan Goslinghas emerged as the early favourite to play sadistic hunk Fifty Shades of Grey.
Gosling, who shot to fame after playing Ian SomerhalderandKristen Stewart and Emma Roberts have both been linked to playing Grey's lover Pretty Little Liarsstar Lucy Hale also [uuid=2a5ee6e0-017c-4627-a4be-d4cc84b9709a]showing an interest in the role[/uuid].
She recently told MTV News: "I definitely am ready to take a step and do something a bit more risky... but it's a fine line.
"I don't know what that fine line is, but I'm definitely ready to explore a darker side of my acting abilities."
Hale added: "I'm really curious to see how it's all going to [play out]. But God, what a big role to take on."
