Sam Taylor-Johnson has revealed what it was like having Fifty Shades of Grey author E L James on set during filming, and how things weren't always plain sailing...[related]

It's no secret that the two didn't exactly get along, as Sam tells MTV News that there were moments when they would 'completely disagree'.

"It was very difficult from the beginning, because you have two people with a strong vision and Erika's vision is the genesis of the whole thing, so I had to respect that. She was also my producer so Ihad to defer to her," she said.

Adding: "There were times when we would completely disagree and lock horns, and the only way we could get through that was discussion discussion discussion and find a way, because you're under pressure to get things done."
