Charlie Simpson has spoken of how people have reacted to his band Fightstar since he left Busted.
The pop heartthrob turned emo growler, whose departure from the chart-topping trio resulted in their sad demise, told MTV2's Zane Lowe on the Gonzo brown couch that audiences have been surprised by Fightstar.
"I walk on the stage and people are like 'what the f*ck is all this about?' then by the end you can feel the mood change," he said. "It's almost the ultimate sense of achievement when people come up to me and say 'I came here wanting to not like it, but I DID like it.'"
"People are giving us a chance, even if they don't want to."
