FILMCLUB Gets Tangled!
The charity's junior reporters meet Mandy Moore...
Disney's new animated movie Tangled is a new spin on the classic fairytale Rapunzel, and children’s education charity FILMCLUB sent two junior reporters to the UK premiere to interview the movie's star Mandy Moore and creative team ahead of it's release on January 28.
Young Ambassadors for the nationwide charity Sioban, aged 9 from Stockport, and Rachel, 10, from Cornwall, quizzed Moore - who voices the character of Rapunzel in the film - who told them:
"I play Rapunzel in Tangled and she’s a young woman, about to turn 18 and she’s lived in this tower her entire life. Her mother sort of kept her in this tower.
"She’s longing to figure out what these lights are that appear in the sky every year on her birthday. So she’s really dreaming about leaving the tower and experiencing the real world for the first time.
"She meets up with this bandit, who somehow ends up in her tower and she convinces him to help her on this journey and escape the tower..."
Siobhan and Rachel had an 'excellent' time as FILMCLUB reporters, and were delighted be told by Mandy Moore that their interviews were, “awesome… much better than most of the adults!”
With one A-list fan already on board, it seems these young filmclubbers really are stars in the making…
