Get ready to lose ALL CHILL.

Final Fantasy fans, don't freak out BUT there's a Final Fantasy LIVE ACTION TV SHOW on its way!

'Final Fantasy XIV: Daddy of Light' is a new “live action drama” TV show in Japan that is all about a father-and-son gaming duo who bond while playing Final Fantasy.

The show, according to Model Press, is about not only the bond that forms between a father and son when playing the Final Fantasy game, but also how that can help them in their daily lives.

Daddy of Light is based on a Japanese blog started by a gamer who recounted the relationship between him and his 60-something year-old father as they bonded over Final Fantasy gaming. He called this Father of Light, so the show name riffs closely off that.

When the show runs, it’ll star Japan’s Ben Osugi, who often appears in Beat Takeshi films, and Yudai Chiba who will play his son. It will feature live-action footage as well as in-game scenes to help tell the father and son story.

According to the source we can expect to see the ups and downs of a father struggling at work and see them find their “secret” selves that they share.

So far the series has been teased by the actors on Twitter.' Final Fantasy XIV: Daddy of Light 'will air on Japanese television this 28 April. Here’s hoping it’s a hit and airs online with subtitles so the rest of us can enjoy it too.
