You Won't Believe How Many Copies The New Final Fantasy Has To Sell Just To Break Even
Final Fantasy XV is so big it'll need to sell a crazy amount to make any money.
If you've never played a Final Fantasy game before, you're missing out. But fear not as the next instalment, Final Fantasy XV, could be the best yet.
The game's director, Hajime Tabata, has said that so much work has gone into the game it will need to sell over 10 million copies just to break even.
The game's publisher, Square Enix, has clearly not scrimped on investment in this role playing game. Since the company's most popular game of the series, Final Fantasy VII, sold 11 million copies there are clearly high hopes for this next game.
The game follows a young king sworn to defend the world's last crystal from the "hectic order" outside of his kingdom. The fight follows a clash between ancient and modern technology with plenty of giant demons to fight throughout.
If you own a PS4 or Xbox One there is a demo of the game, called Platinum Demo, available to download and try.
Final Fantasy XV will be released on 30 September worldwide for PS4 and Xbox One. For super fans there are Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Collector's Edition versions available on the Square Enix online shop.
