Celebrity Workouts IRL: Spinning On Beat
Just when we thought spinning really wasn’t for us, we thought we’d give it one more try… Only this time with a studio whose motto is to "inspire people to lead vibrant, energetic & happy lives."
Essentially the SoulCycle of the UK, we popped down to Psycle London recently to find out if it could make a spinning obsessive out of us yet.
What exactly does it entail?
The workout is a high intensity, low impact, head-to-toe workout on a bike. Most classes are 45 minutes, during which you’ll workout every single muscle in your body, not to mention those biceps during the weights track.
What makes Psycle different to your standard spin is that here you ride to the beat. Each class has a unique playlist set by the instructor, and once you’ve found that right-left-right-left rhythm you’ll be good to go.
Why the celebs love it…
It’s loud, it’s high energy and it’s as intense a workout as you want to make it.
We had the biggest smile on our face, not to mention left feeling super motivated for the week ahead. Who knew an inspiring speech could work on cynics such as ourselves?
Dripping onto the floor. Needed a sponge for our forehead. So yeah, super sweaty.
Could we move the next day?
Yes, but we did feel pretty tired (in a really good way).
