Celebrity Workouts IRL: The Boxing Workout
In our latest attempt at trying to get anything that vaguely resembles a Victoria's Secret body, we thought we'd take a leaf from Gigi Hadid's book and try out boxing at London's 1Rebel.
Maybe it was because we'd just watched Southpaw and fancied Jake Gyllenhaal which is why we thought we'd be a pro, as we soon discovered just how intense a workout hitting a bag actually is.
What exactly does it entail?
1Rebel's boxing class is called Rumble, and described on their website as: "Punch, kick, and move. It’s between you and your bag. A cardio boxing and mixed martial arts battle that’s no holds barred."
With a dark room filled with punching bags you take your place with your hands gloved up, before being taught a combination of punches which you repeat until your arms fall off.
This is broken up with classic HIIT training, including burpees, planks, sit-ups, push ups and of course those dreaded mountain climbers.
So between the two different types of round you work out every muscle in your body. And yes, you really can feel it the next day!
Why the celebs love it...
The Hadids and every model we can think of have stopped by the boxing ring at one point or another, no doubt because of what a great form of stress relief it is.
We came out with a huge smile on our faces, so it's a 10 from us.
