Everyone’s fave teen Netflix drama is back and we are HYPED. But behind all the drama, the stars of Riverdale are actual fitness legends. So, while you kill time before the next episode hits your screens, get inspired to get moving by KJ Apa and co’s crazy good workout routines.

KJ Apa

KJ (aka Archie) is SUPER ripped, so it’s no surprise that he’s a big strength training fan. In addition to standard weight-lifting, KJ ends workouts with killer finishers such as this dumbbell swing and burpee pyramid:

He’s also recently been training at Wild Card West boxing gym, owned by film director Peter Berg. With a big focus on upper body power, agility and cardio, boxing is the ultimate workout for anyone who’s short on time – so we reckon it must be perfect for KJ to fit into his busy filming schedule.

Lili Reinhart

Lili (Betty Cooper) keeps things simple with her training, sticking to classic treadmill sessions for a quick but effective workout. “I try to go on the treadmill. I feel like that’s the easiest thing to do because I don’t know what I’m doing with weights so I’m like, ‘Let’s get some cardio in and run on the treadmill and do intervals between walking and running,’” she told Elle magazine.

Cole Sprouse

Cole Sprouse, aka Jughead Jones, turns to co-star KJ Apa for fitness tips (and given his beasty workouts, who can blame him?!), as well as doing circuits. He told People mag “I focus on different parts of the body on different days… It’s usually high intensity circuits and a lot of body weight stuff.”

Charles Melton

He plays a super-buff American football player in the show, but Reggie actor Charles Melton is athletic IRL too. His sessions involve HIIT circuits with lots of plyometrics (think squat jumps and lunges), ab sculpting moves and push ups.

Madelaine Petsch, aka Riverdale’s resident mean girl Cheryl Blossom, has a KILLER routine. “I exercise for an hour and a half: a 2 to 3 mile run, and then muscle training,” she told People magazine. After getting her cardio in with a run, Madelaine works on moves deadlifts, squats and ab pikes to improve her leg and core strength.

She also loves SoulCycle “I was nervous to do SoulCycle until I got into class. If you do it in the morning, your entire day is better, because your body is nourished and your soul is nourished.”

Sounds like the absolute dream tbh!
