This Is How You Can Get £20 Off New Trainers And Help Save The Planet
Trust us on this one...
Listen. Fitness can be expensive, we get it. Between gym memberships and new activewear working out can get pretty pricey, which means when the time comes to trade in your old trainers it's all to easy to... well, not to. But wearing worn-down running shoes can actually cause injury, and paying for a physio to get you back on form will cost a LOT more than replacing those creps.
Luckily, running shop Runners Need has the answer. If you bring in your dodgy old trainers between 14th October and 29th November, they'll give you a voucher for £20 off a new pair as part of their #recyclemyrun initiative. Amazing? YEP.
The best bit? The team at Runners Need will pass your trainers on to a shoe recycling company, so if they're still wearable they'll go to a person in need and if they're truly, truly beyond repair then they'll be broken down and recycled. Once they're recycled they'll be turned into something else such as new trainers, an athletics track or a sports pitch. Since we throw away 300 million pairs of running shoes across the UK every year, not only will you be getting ££ but you'll be helping keep junk out of landfill. David Attenborough would be proud!
Recycle My Run kicks off at the Royal Parks Half Marathon this weekend, then you can head into any Runners Need store across the country. AMAZING.
