FKA twigs Does The Double At The 2016 MPG Awards

Last night (3rd February) FKA twigs landed herself two gongs at the Music Producers Guild Awards seeing off competition from Mark Ronson, Everything Everything and Royal Blood.
At the event at Grosvenor House in London, twigs- akaTahliah Barnett - took home UK Album Of The Year award for 'LP1' as well as UK Single Song Release Of The Year for 'Pendulum'.
Speaking backstage twigstold us: "It's amazing, it's been such an incredible journey and I've just been so grateful to have worked with the likes of Paul Epworth and Emil [Haynie]and Arca and Tic.
"These amazing producers and beat makers that have taught me to do what I do, and this is probably my favourite award that I've won."
Elsewhere, Charlie Andrew scooped the big award of the night,UK Producer Of The Year, following his work with alt-J. The accolade also means he's scored a BRIT Award too!
The night also honouredproducer and artist Youth (Martin Glover) with the MPG's Outstanding Contribution to UK Music Award, sponsored by PPL. Youth, who is one of the founding members of Killing Joke, later took to the stage to entertain guests with a live performance featuring a number of the artists he has produced over the years including Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd) and Richard Ashcroft (The Verve).
