Fleetwood Mac Confirmed To Headline Isle Of Wight Festival, NOT Glastonbury

The band are performing at one festival and one festival only, and it's not the one you thought it'd be...

Fleetwood Mac have announced their only festival performance of next year, and it's not Glastonbury.

The band will play at the Isle of Wight Festival on the final night on Sunday 14 June, and are simply 'delighted' with their decision.

A statement from the band said: “We’ve always wanted to come to the UK to play the Isle of Wight festival, and so we are delighted that in 2015 we are finally making it happen."

Adding: "So many fellow artists and friends have played at this historic event over the years, and we can’t wait to see all of our fans on the island next summer.”

Those lucky enough to get tickets will see the band's most famous line-up, with Christine McVie back in the band to complete the classic 1970's group.

"I'm very pleased and extremely proud to have them headline next year's event," IOW festival organiser John Giddings said.

"With Christine now back in the band too, it is going to be a momentous occasion, a moment in music history," he added.

Tickets for Isle of Wight festival go on sale at 9am December 5.
