Fleur East Signs To Syco, Album Coming This Year
The X Factor runner-up is snapped up by Simon Cowell's label...
We must admit we assumed that they'd signed her up weeks ago, but news has just emerged that Fleur East has inked a deal with Syco Music.
The 27-year-old - who had been widely tipped to win The X Factor last month but was beaten by Ben Haenow in the final - will be working with her mentor on the show Simon Cowell.
She said in a statement: "It means so much to be able to have the support and backing of such an amazing label as Syco. I'm so excited to finally have a platform to showcase my music."
And the man himself commented: "I am very happy to announce that Fleur East has signed to Syco Music. Fleur proved what a star she was on the show last year and we now look forward to starting work on her record."
She will have a debut album out before the end of the year, it is claimed.
Series winner Ben is already signed to the label - and both will appear on The X Factor's live tour.
