Right Round featuring Kesha was produced by Dr. Luke and samples Dead or Alive's 1984 hit ‘You Spin Me Round’. The original reached No.1 in the 80s and number 5 in 2006 when it was re-released after lead singer Pete Burns' time in Celebrity Big Brother.
When he came in last month, the platinum rapper explained why he wanted to use the sample “I wanted to step it up a notch and show people I was more rounded and open to music. This being, a Dead or Alive sample shot to mind.”
The MC from the state by the same name, already took the singles chart by storm but it seems that it just wasn’t enough and he looks ready to claim back the number one spot.
If Flo can hold of competition from Lady GaGa and the comic relief singles, including The Saturdays, he’ll be very happy as he’s just scored his fifth week at No. 1 in the US singles chart.
