Florence: "Beyonce Is Incredible"

Florence and The Machine have become huge festival names this summer, performing at anything from London’s Lovebox to the wet and rainy Oxegen festival in Ireland.

MTV News caught up with Florence minus the Machines at the Oxegen Festival last weekend where she told us exclusively about her love for the Queen Bee of R n B, Miss Beyonce Knowles.

 

 

Welch told MTV News presenter Laura Whitmore: “I’m a huge fan of Beyonce, she’s incredible. I have never met her but once I was DJing at a party where she was at and I saw her dancing with Jay-Z, and that was pretty cool."

 

She added: “We were playing and Jay-Z leaned over and went “Yeah!” I was like this is the best moment of my life.”

 

Florence’s current album Lungs has reached number 2 in the UK Album charts, only behind the King of Pop, Michael Jackson’s: The Essential Collection.

 

However, Welch told the Daily Star: "Every day I wake up and feel like the luckiest person in the world. It's just an honour to have an album out,"

 

Florence continued: "There are definitely no hard feelings about being beaten to No 1."
