Foo Fighters Finish Work On "Epic" New Album

Producer Butch Vig took to Twitter to confirm the news to fans on Tuesday...

Foo Fighters have completed work on their eighth studio album.

Producer Butch Vig took to Twitter to give fans an update onthe band's forthcoming LP, describing the project as "epic".

We are officially done with the new Foo Fighters album. 23 straight days mixing! IT'S EPIC!!!

He wrote: "We are officially done with the new Foo Fighters album.23 straight days mixing! IT'S EPIC!!!"

Vig previously produced Nirvana's iconic 1991 album Nevermind, as well as working with the Foos on their 2009 greatest hits and 2011 record, Wasting Light.

[related]Dave Grohl and Co's as-yet-untitled new album is available this autumn, with a documentary also set to air on HBO to coincide with its release.

Therockers are due to make their return to the UK in September to headline the Invictus Games closing show in London.
