Dynamite Has Had An EXPLOSIVE Effect On Fortnite Matches… But NOT In The Way You'd Expect
BOOM! Here's what you need to know about dynamite in Fortnite.
Fortnite's new limited-time Wild West mode is now live… but the new dynamite explosive that launched at the same time? Uh, that was removed within an hour of launch after it was found to be crashing the game!
Content Update 6.30 - which contains the new cowboy-flavoured Wild West mode - is now live. "This town ain't big enough for the hundred of us! Use weapons from frontier times in this Limited Time Mode to earn a Victory Royale!" says the official website.
Futuristic weapons are a no-go here, which means you have to strip back to basics and mix things up with shotguns, revolvers, and rifles.
But within just an hour of going live, Epic removed the explosive dynamite - which does 70 damage to players and 800 damage to structure - when it became clear that it was making Fortnite games crash for some unlucky players. The good news is, it wasn't down for long - Epic fixed the issue within just a few hours, and dynamite has now returned to the game, along with some fixes to mounted turrets.
Don't forget, if you're ever interested in how the fab team at Epic are improving and tweaking your Fortnite experience, you can hop on over to the game's Trello board anytime. It provides awareness of top community issues and their status, and lists the development team's highest priority issues that they are "working to resolve in the next couple of releases".
