Foxy Brown Wants EARly Release

Rapper wants to serve remainder of jail sentence at home on medical grounds...

Incarcerated Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown has filed an appeal with the New York State Supreme Court asking to be released early from jail citing "emergency" medical conditions as her reason.

Foxy has requested to serve the remaining term at home so that she can receive adequate treatment for her hearing condition and "have her cochlear implant reprogrammed and repaired or else face imminent harm to her hearing."

The rapper suffered severe and sudden hearing loss a couple of years back and underwent surgery in 2006 where she received a cochlear implant. Brown, real name Inga Marchand was sentenced to a year behind bars for violating her probation terms by travelling to Florida.

The New York Post reports that Foxy's attorney stated in the appeal that Foxy requires medical care for her condition and cannot get this in jail. The rapper added that her implant had been damaged in an altercation with a fellow inmate and her ear has not stopped bleeding since this incident.

Her attorney said "If her hearing is damaged any further... It will have dire consequences on her ability to maintain her profession and livelihood." Foxy also wrote a four page letter to support her cause.
