Frank Ocean Sued Over Mary J. Blige Sample On 'Super Rich Kids'
A company called TufAmerica are allegedly seeking damages over the Channel Orange track...
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the song - featuring fellow Odd Future star Earl Sweatshirt - borrows a sample from Blige's Real Love - which itself lends from The Honeydrippers' 1973 hit, Impeach The President.
In a complaint filed at a New York Federal court, the website claims that a company called TufAmerica are seeking damages from Ocean's record label Universal after they "failed and refused to secure a license” to use the track.
However, TufAmerica are thought to only own 3.15% of Blige's song, and have previously sued rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West, while also previously bringing a sampling lawsuit against Beastie Boys.
Ocean is yet to comment on the accusations.
