Frankie Cocozza: 'I've Slept With 300 Girls'
Former X Factor contestant tells of his sexploits - and slates the show...
The 19-year-old, who has just released his debut EP, has spoken to The Sun newspaper about life in the wake of reality TV - and has also criticised the show for continuing to include novelty acts.
Discussing his incredibly notchy bedpost, he said: "I've caned it. It was a good 12 or 13 birds a week at one stage. In total I've slept with around 300 girls, which is disgusting.
"But all my mates would have done exactly the same thing. Anyone would."
But he reckons he's calmed down now, since moving away from his native Brighton.
"I've moved to London and live on my own," he explained "I'm not going out as much because I've got no one to go out with. Most of my time I've been writing songs. I live next to the studio."
Frankie revealed that his former mentor Gary Barlow went the extra mile to help him out after his undignified exit from the show.
"There were times, particularly after The X Factor, when I needed some advice and he always got back to me. He came round for a cup of tea. My mum was buzzing! Gary genuinely cared about his acts.
"When it started to unravel, he was trying his best to get involved and sort it out. He told me he didn't want me to go and I genuinely believed him. He looked like he gave a s*** most."
But he was not so complimentary about Louis Walsh, saying: "Louis was just brutal. He caned me on stage and backstage he was a w***** too. I'd say, 'Alright, Lou', and he'd completely blank me. I know a lot of people hated him when they were on the show."
And Frankie also hit out at The X Factor over novelty acts such as Rylan Clark and - erm - himself.
He said: "People are fed up with it. Last year, if I was watching myself get through every week, I'd be like 'How s*** is this?' I knew that when I was on there.
"Other contestants were putting on class performances. I'm pony and I'm the one going through.
"Look at this year, with Kye Sones. I'm sure he’s got thousands of fans and they're not going to watch if they see Rylan, who's pony — funny to watch but s*** — and poor Kye has got to go home.
"How old is Kye? 30? He might not get another chance. The novelty thing is b*******. It's about time they stopped it."
Frankie recently accused the show of setting him and Misha B up.
