Frozen 2 Starts Production Next Month
Let it gooooooo....
This is not a drill… Frozen 2 is officially up and running, with Kristen Bell revealing that production will kick off on the animated mega-sequel next month. According to Bell, who played Elsa’s little sister Anna in the first film, the script is pretty much done and the cast will be hitting the recording booth in a couple of weeks time. Wooooooo!
It’s been nearly three years since the original hit our screens, but Bell is convinced the sequel will be worth the wait. “What I know about that whole team is that they wouldn’t just put something out to put it out,” said the star. “That’s why it took them so long to even announce that we were doing a second one... It took them a while because they wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell.”
Just what that story might be remains a mystery, but if you believe the fan theories, it could included anything from Olaf finding love with a snow-woman to *gasp* Anna becoming a villain! What we do know is that all the original production team will be back for round two, so whatever they come up with should be pretty magical.
The bad news? Animated films take a loooooong time to make, and while Disney are making us wait for the official release date, it will probably still be a couple of years before we get to see the finished article. Looks like we’ll be in our kingdom of isolation a while longer then… *sigh*.
