Game Of Thrones is getting a rap makeover thanks to a new ‘mixtape’ recorded by artists including Big Boi, Common, Wale, Bodega Bamz, Magazeen and more.

Mother Of Dragons - Big Boi by Catch the Throne

HBO, which produces the hit television show, has hired ten rappers and Latin music artists to record a concept album based on Westeros and its inhabitants.

The record – which is free - comes out tomorrow but you can catch a preview, of Big Boi track Mother Of Dragons, right here.

In the song, whose catchy chorus goes “Dungeons, dragons, kings and queens”, Big Boi raps over some of the theme music while voiceovers from the show fade in and out.

At one point he spits: “Fuck the Lannisters and everyone ridin’ with 'em.”

Big Boi is apparently a huge fan of the show and, having already watched the whole series, has moved onto the books on which it’s based: “I wanted to see what happens in the next season,” he told the WSJ.

Rapper Magazeen, who also appears on the record, is another fan, watching the show on DVD while on tour. His favourite character is Joffrey Baratheon.

Magazeen explaind: "It's a lot of sword-swinging, a lot of fighting, man. It's just raw!"

Last week the posters for the upcoming fourth series were released, featuring fan favourites as well as some new faces.

Season 4 is set to air in April.
