Game Of Thrones Producers Confirm The Flashbacks Are Coming!
After Charles Dance let slip to us that his character was to make a return, we hate to say we told you so...
Game Of Thrones producers have confirmed that the eagerly anticipated fifth season WILL include flashbacks.
We previously broke the news that Charles Dance's character Tywin Lannister was to make a return to the new series of the HBO show despite his gloriously gory death at the end of season 4.
And now, during a Q&A with Spanish film students, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have revealed that season five will include flashbacks to storylines, with the background provided by George R.R. Martin's novel A Song of Ice and Fire.
Mashable quotes the producers as saying: "By making the first season, we set a rule: No prophecies, dreams or flashbacks.
"We failed the first two and this season, the third. So yes, this season will finally have flashbacks."
Entertainment Weekly is also reporting that a flashback is expected to serve as the opening scene to series five, which is set to air next spring.
We can't wait!
